Due to the delay of the bus and the long break, we only arrived in Sancti Spiritus at 8.45pm, when it was already dark outside. ... a hotel for the wealthy busloads of tourists that seem to arrive on the hour. Usually in these establishments the tourists would annoy us & we would move on, but this time we moved on due to the looks of resentment from locals as they strode past only feet from us on the foot path. It didn’t feel right at all to us, the “all inclusive bus tour types” didn’t seem to notice highlighting their ignorance to us.

... Yum. The bus station was once again within walking distance. It featured no signs, but busses parked there were a hint that it was, in fact, the station. We got our tickets for Varadero as well as Remedios. The washroom was useable but a sign told us not to flush. After arriving in Remedios, we took a bici taxi to the town square.
