      ... visible today, bubbling away like a witch's cauldron. The lunch stop was at Lingua, a sleepy little town on the far side of Salina. Of the couple of places open, we chose Il Gambero, on the waterfront. George ordered in his best Italian until the waiter interrupted in a good Aussie accent and said 'thought I'd see how good your Italian was before I interrupted....not bad' The lunch was spectacularly good - I'm including a photo of mine.       ... to us. We ended up in a bar with them after the boat, looking out over the port and drinking spritzers. In the evening, we were all tired. We had to read a few menus but quickly found the famous Aeolian dish with capers that Jo was lusting for. I had a very simple seafood and spaghetti dish that was altogether delicious. The kids wolfed their half portions of pasta and tomato sauce and we ordered another. (I think they liked it)! What a great day. Just what we came out to the islands ...

      ... During cocktail hour,I was checking. my weather apps. I have in,y used weather on line a few times. Oddly enough the best weather forecaster I have found over here this year is THE WEATHER CHANNEL. It gives the wind speed, direction and forecasting hour by hour, and updates every two hours.       ... it up each time. He loved it; just as you'd imagine a 5 year old boy would. Another day I took the kids north on the local bus to Acquacalda beach for a swim and gelato.       ... Below decks.... Now that is a different story. From my perch, hanging on to the bunk, everything in the dog house, had fallen below and piled itself in the hall outside the bathroom. The here large drawers underneath the couch, had launched themselves to under the table. The silverware drawer on the starboard side was tittering on the edge of falling to the floor.
