... We went for a walk before we headed to B's Steakhouse for dinner. The steaks were good but the winner was their Ultimate Onion appetizer. A whole onion is sliced into a petal shape and deep fried then topped with herbed cream cheese and a sweet and slightly spicy salsa. Delicious! An excellent local red completed our dinner.

It's Saturday and it's cool and it rained overnight. We are not sure what to expect for the day so ...

It is now June, and we have 2 weeks to go. Starting to get really excited now! In the next week we need to get the whole family to Cape Town to take a picture at the foot of Table Mountain. ... large Tuna head tied to a rope into the water to bait the sharks. The divers got into their wet suits and masks then waited for the sharks to come before getting into the cage. We spent 3 hours watching the sharks swim for the bait. It wasn't continuous but every 5 minutes or so we saw a shark about 10 feet away from me in the boat. A couple times the shark chased the bait towards the boat at hit the cage with the people inside, this happened about 3 times when ...

... last one and the whole raft went over. My waterproof bag containing my camera came loose and floated separately down the river completely open to the elements and yet somehow my camera escaped any damage whatsoever. I was rescued by some Saffers who were having a party on a rock in the middle of the river and we all relaxed with a beer.

The main aim of coming to Hermanus was to overcome my fear of sharks. And the best way to do this was ...
