    ... on our one full day in Hermanus we got in the car and drove west along the coast to a colony of African penguins. And who can resist penguins? The penguins were up close, cute as can be, and completely acclimated to people on the boardwalk that crossed over their nesting area. The girls could have stayed for hours and were far more impressed by the penguins than by the whale they glimpsed earlier in the day.

    Today we branched out of Cape Town and headed off to Capes Point and Good Hope. Again, our ever attentive MedVilla tour organiser, Petra, had a suggested route for us.     They were baited with tuna heads, tied to buoys being thrown out near the cage.
    And it is against South African law to bait them with any live or dead mammal
    product. Additionally, our bait crew was pouring fish oils and waters mixed with
    fish all around the boat as well.

    So did they come? Boy did they come!!! We saw (7) different sharks ranging from
    8-15 feet. Some that lingered around the boat and up to the cage ...
