... It is beautifully furnished but it is a little strange to shower in full view of the lounge and not to have a door on the toilet.

The Provence countryside is beautiful with the autumn tones. We toured a few of the picturesque hill top towns: Menerbes, a little town perched on the crest of a hill, Bonnieux, where we enjoyed a delightful lunch of different cheeses and cured meats, Roussillon with its ochre ...

Before we could start we had to find a parking spot in one of the several parking areas that are created around the edge of the town for visitors. It seemed the weekly market is pretty popular as we drove from parking area to parking area with no luck. Finally dada dropped the girls and went looking further away where he met up with several glaring aggressive French ...

... the better of us. Perhaps if we see them in London we will indulge!

Upon returning home we finally plunged into the pool to be immediately refreshed. The temperature was now in the mid twenties and has been even hotter in recent days, but the pool water is still really quite cold and has the desired effect!

The balance of the day was spent reading (several books on the go right now including The Hare with Amber Eyes by Edmund de ...
