Exploring the region

A travel blog entry by katschofield

So, the rain came, but we were dry! We set out this morning to find a small museum on the history of life in Cevennes National Park. En route we passed a dairy where Le plat du jour was a tasting plate of 7 cheeses all made on site. They had to be eaten in a certain order - softest to hardest. That done we all turned pedals together about 8am. That was the last time that Steve, Carole and I saw anyone from the group except Jill until our arrival here, so I ...

Market day in Anduze

A travel blog entry by rkzohm

We woke to sun again today (yay!). We had breakfast and then headed to the weekly marche in Anduze. Before we could start we had to find a parking spot in one of the several parking areas that are created around the edge of the town for visitors. It seemed the weekly market is pretty popular as we drove from parking area to parking area with no luck. Finally dada dropped the girls and went looking further away where he met up with several glaring aggressive French ...
