... either. It's wifi or nothing!

So now we have all day today to ourselves. Our bus doesn't leave until 7 tonight so I am going to try and do a late check-out. Hopefully that will work. Look for my next post in a couple of days from Iguazu. Should be a little more interesting and with better pics hopefully!

Random thought of day. Not so funny today, just a statement that didn't really fit anywhere else. Their ice ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina derekjjensenIt's great to be back in Buenos Aires - my only previous visit was four years previously and I fell in love with the place. The airport, on high alert from the Swine flu, is full of people wearing face masks - at little extreme it only handles flights from other parts of Argentina. Caught up with old friends and made many new ones - the zest for life of the porteños makes it a great place to round off my trip of ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina paulhand33... twijfeld hoe mazzel wij hebben dat we in Nederland geboren zijn, dan moet je echt naar die film. Man!
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina heinlisenka... so many ways to see and experience Buenos Aires! When planning your trip, read about the city and ask, what makes this place unique? What is it that makes this place, this place? Why is it worth my time to go? What is of interest to me? Perhaps it is its shopping and ferias (markets). Perhaps it is the architecture, wine, music, dancing, food, museums and the art scene, café life. Maybe it's people watching ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina journeyer... The downstairs was transformed to a dance floor which included a dj and full bar. One of the complaints about this hostel is that you can hear music throughout the building late at night. The club went till the wee early morning but since I can sleep through anything, it didn't really bother me. For others, the trick is to do things during the day that get you so exhausted that your body shuts off right when you hit the bed.
Buenos Aires, Argentina mikeraboy... to wake student who had a lovely snooze and set off to find a hotel, without much luck, finally found a dive and once again it was given we would share a room... I don´t know who made these unwritten travel rules, but didnt think 2x about it until I was left to sign our names in and realised I didn´t know his name! Only travelled 36hrs together... My embarresment and the look on the hotel owner´s face was priceless. So student is called Will ...
Puerta la Cruz, Venezuela femi... had a few pushy people claiming to be from the tourist office (with id cards and all) trying to "help me out". Unfortunately, I couldnt figure out the ATMs, which require an extra 2 digit number after your pin number, not to mention trying to figure out how many zeroes to punch in to withdraw. Plus, they time out after about 3 seconds, so my transactions were cancelld several times just coz of that! I evntually gave up, changed a trav cheque (which took about 30 mins), had some ...
Caracas, Venezuela joules... in parts of USA? You gotta love him. He's not very well liked by the middle classes in Venezuela though, they're afraid that he will make Venezuela too much like Cuba. In Peru people seem to have less interest in politics, and regard the government as just a bunch of very corrupt idiots. I'm not in any position to disagree. Round 13 to Venezuela Round 14: Tourist Scene In some parts Venezuela most of the tourists are locals who are just on holidays. The gringo scene is much ...
Caracas, Venezuela snsgowest... night...ahh last night....of course we joined our posse of colombianos....they are most definitely our bodyguards in the more dangerous streets of caracas....anyways, it{s great.....so we went to check out a couple concerts that were happening, one punk rock and metal rap, the other salsa and merengue....both very fun....i had no idea that there was such a significant punk scene in venezuela........very creative for sure......and the youth here are sooo ...
Caracas, Venezuela wsfchronicle... part of Venezuela was the ranchitos. Beyond the poverty and haphazard construction of the dwellings, lies community. You can sit in one spot and just watch and see the hillside come alive with kids kicking a futbol or adults chewing the fat watching the neighborhood. The ranchitos are the heart of Venezuela. The ship left La Guaira, Venezuela at around 11pm lastnight and in less than a week I will be in Salvador, Brazil- the Afro-Brazilian capital.
