ok, it was more "collecting a new country" than being really interested in Monaco. Strange, when you go there from Nice airport by bus it costs you 18 € one way, when you go from Nice bus terminal it costs 1 € one way. Monaco is a very clean city. I have never seen so many big and expensive cars. I saw the casino and the castle. Nice, but not spectacular.
Monaco, Monaco tilman... have an amazing view from Colline du Chateau. On saturday (November 28) we had sunshine and 19 degrees (end of November) and I was even swimming in the sea (15 gegrees), on sunday, November 29 we had rain and thunderstorms so that caused a delay of the plane of three hours. Best breakfast in town you find in "Les pains a tables" close to the market. Nice is a city IŽd love to visit once a year minimum.....
Nice, Provence, France tilman... Not only have the donations received already far exceeded my expectations, but the kind words and general interest and support that I have received have been amazing. So thank you all. It is all very much appreciated and I can't believe that between us we really will change these little lives. It is my motto here in Antibes, but this is the ultimate "think globally; act locally ...
Antibes, Provence, France marianner... if we want to via a plug in the side of Scooby. We've only hooked up to mains twice and found that we can charge all our gadgets from the leisure battery without running out of power. Laptop, Camera, phone, iPod, eBook and GPs. The fridge goes 3 ways off Mains when plugged in, off battery when the car is running and off gas when stationary. Mad Mary We have a GPS with EU maps installed. She was christened Mad Mary by the previous owner due to her sometimes ...

Monaco is the world's second smallest country (after Vatican City) less than 2 square km, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in decadence! Streets are manicured, lavish hotels and casinos line the waterfront, and the harbour is chock a block with gigantic, plush boats.
Once we arrived we visited the Palais du Prince (or ...
... the french 'boules', which is where lawn bowling originated from. One guy had a very interesting style of chucking his ball up into the air and it would magically land in the right spot and knock out the opponent's ball. We sampled some delicious macaroon dessert thingies, which the new Lindt chocolate store in Chaddy sells and they call them 'delice'. Well, whatever they were, they were awesome, the lady at the store cut up a whole lot and gave us mini taste tests, as there were many ...
Nice, Provence, France dan-and-dee... on the water was especially nice. Eze Oct 11 (Click for pics!) I have to comment on the roads. Eze is not far from the Italian border and it is very evident on the road. The attitude of the drivers are notably different...as in tailing ...
Eze, France oracle26... the beach in Nice is rocky and not sandy? Well this is the first time we experience pebbles on a beach. Its cold and slippery. We also saw many nude babes suntanning on the beach. What can I say...this is France. Our itineary for the day is EZE village. Pickup our car from the garage and studied the map before we start our journey. EZE is only half an hour away from Nice. The drive to EZE is amazing, the view gets ...
Eze, France seamonster... one of the coldest places we had been so far. Luckily though we had been warned and had come somewhat prepared. Though cold, the city was great. It had lots of little shops, with a wide range of products; there were clothing and shoe shops, souvenir shops and lots of bakeries and confectionary shops. I continued the tradition I had started in London of buying a postcard from every town we stopped at, be it an overnight stop or a stop for lunch ...
Nice, France croucher... and debated wheather we should do the 3 mile hike, or take the 10 min train back to Nice, and jump on a 20 bus back to Eze. In the spirit of traveling and taken the path less travled, we decided to make the grewling hike up. We hiked up and up. It seemed like we were hiking to heaven. The path was very steep and there were lots of large rocks in the path. About half way up, we took a few minutes to admire the view. It was pictureisique. The ...
