... to have somewhere in Veules-les-Roses. We walked around a village trail that we had walked around last time we were here seeing the shortest river in France and the lovely old houses re-enacting pictures we took last time so we can see a bit of before and after. We sat at the edge of the river, just near the source to have our lunch. Its great to be back on the baguettes as the rolls around the rest of Europe ...

... to get back on the road quickly, Jess had done the driving for the first part of the day and then we swapped and I took over after lunch. The drive was unexciting the rest of the way and we tried to get the girls to guess where we were going as we had told them it would be a nice surprise for them. It was only when Ruby saw the sign for Veules-les-Roses that they worked it out and they were all very excited to be coming back to somewhere we had been before. ...

... 250km away. Arrived safe and sound at Cite Europe to stock up and cheap wine n beer (for when the relies come over fom Aus ;-). And off to the port we go, as usual in search of fuel but after several roundabouts and no diesel for camping cars we decided sod it, let's just get there! Arrived the customary 40 mins before we set sail and queue up with everyone else at passport control, soon we were in our lane and there we stayed for half an hour or so ...

... minutes In a cart watching bees work, play, baby bees, the queen bee, bees in prison pretty much an accurate portrayal of their lives. We were more than ready to go by the end and Aaron was especially glad he didn't buy a little speedo like the rules said to go in the very dirty and sad looking water lark they had there. It was an early night as it was a full day and Quinn spent most of the evening crying. Well off to Rouen ...

I give up on the beach

... taken off my sweater at one. However the afternoon was much nicer as it was sunny and warm in Gonneville so we lazed outside drinking beer etc for the afternoon and evening. A pretty relaxing day overall a rarity on this trip. The next day we went back to Dieppe for the market and wow was it busy, a tone of people at the market and all kinds of scooter boys whipping around. Nothing too different at the market ...
