... in Spain !! Obviously a deal was done because he was paraded along the wharf in front of the ship and put onto the Pilot boat from which he boarded once we were underway. How excitement !!

Cherbourg,France.
A quiet day today ,summer in France, warm and lovely..We took the shuttle bus into the town/city ..,and walked at length around the perimeter,things of Napoleon ,a large and majestic statue,this was his territory..and he built some of the fortifications.

We spent the day driving west from Honfleur to see all the Normandy D-Day beaches. 'Operation Overlord' was the code name for the D-Day invasions.
