... are allowed up the narrow tower at a time should have told me that it's a small space up top. You pay once you're at the top of the narrow spiral staircase, and then you have to climb a ladder to get outside for the real view. At the top of the ladder you squeeze through a tiny door (it's a little awkward) and then BAM you're outside and way above the main market square! It's, like I said, a very small space where you just walk around the bell at the top and enjoy the views ...

... town. The man that gives the tour dresses as the night watchman and he's been doing it for the last 20 years. His humor is subtle, perfectly timed and hilarious as he describes the history of the town and the role of the night watchman. We were laughing out loud through the entire experience. We walked around the town and the markets. Ate Bratwurst rolls AGAIN for ...

We had a somewhat leisurely morning as we packed up to depart Lorch, with breakfast available from 7:30 am and the bus leaving at 8:45. Because there was serious roadwork on the regular southbound highway, John took us up the small valley behind Lorch on narrow and winding roads. We were in woods, with a stream along the side of the road; there were a few guest houses closer to town, then just countryside. Martin played "The Ride of the Valkyries" ...

... unique temperature and mineral content, even though they all come from the same original source. The town is located in a large valley, surrounded by a beautiful forest popular with Czech, German and Russian hunters. Right in the middle of this beautiful, quaint town is a monstrosity of a building built in 1972- no surprise, it's a basic communist style building- UGLY. The only thing I could think of was the story of Guy de ...
