... and onto the beach. The beach here is rocky and has a wide concrete footpath area and 2metres of rocks before the water. People laying everywhere. We pick our way into the water gingerly over the rocks and dip into the lovely clear waters. Then back up onto the beach to dry off. Its great people watching here. All shapes and sizes. We had been given some dodgy instructions on how to find our hostel accommodation, but Nathan managed to find it quiet easily (he is a pro navigator). The 'old town' of Split is a UNESCO world heritage site, which means there are no street ...

... far all the trains we have caught have been spacious and quite luxurious, until now. The train reminded me of the trains I used to catch with my family from home to Melbourne with the isle down one side and cabins with 6 or 8 seats crammed into the cabin. All I could think was 'How are we possibly going to sleep?' We discovered that the seat folded down flat and if we top and tailed we could stretch or legs out. Great in theory ...
