Arrived in Rome via another lovely Italo Train. It was first class travel with complimentary wifi and drinks and comfortable reclining seats. Our lodgings for the first night were not to our liking and we changed for the next two nights. Unfortunately this took away some sightseeing time for us. The weather is a
little cloudy, but it is close to 70 today. We got up at 8am for breakfast, but

then went out to see and explore the tiny Greek town. This town had over 40 churches in this small area.

At ...

Breakfast by the harbour then drive north up the east coast, heading for campsite at Gythion. Stop in mountain village of Lagia for coffee and meet a german couple on their bikes, one of which is a recumbent bike! We buy them a cup of coffee while a rain storm passes. They are on a year's sabbatical from their teaching jobs. Started last September, cycled from home via Italy to Crete. Went home for the winter, then flew back to Crete to continue ...
