... hand filled with rupee notes and loudly loosed a stream of incomprehensible Hindi (presumably) which did nothing by way of explanation. Judith was no help. After our debate the previous day in Delhi, she helpfully ignored the advances that the strange lady made, and merely looked out of the window. I could only respond to further waving of the rupee-filled fist by a firm "No!", such as one gives to naughty children. Evidently, this was not the right response, for ...

We got up the next day to find all the local children making their way into school which was where we camped. Only a 20 minute walk that day then we headed back to the hotel. It was an amazing experience! The next few days me and mum turned into 80 year olds and could hardly walk, luckily mine only lasted a day but the old dear known as ...

Today we got off to a slow start - morning on the Ganges, a look at a Jain temple, then onto the road for what should have been a relatively easy drive. We got caught at a number of train crossings, in one political rally in a city, and got dead-ended at an unfinished bridge, so arrived in Corbett National Park at sunset. Just a few pictures from the road ...
