Back stage VIP... No biggie
So so so super happy to be travelling again. Was a tad nervous leaving Duesseldorf but not looking back at all. Middle child gave me a stuffed giraffe-hippo which I decided to name Ernest Hemingway or Hemi for short. Very cute methinks.
On Monday morning I had my first mitfahrgelegenheit (carpooling with randoms) experience. A DJ / law student drove me from Duesseldorf to Muenster. Was better than I expected; we chatted most of the way.

Getting in touch with my German ancestry
... we all gathered for a buffet in the hotel banquet room. I took advantage of my newly-found "Germanness" with good-size fillings of spatzle and saucy mains. After eating, sheets with lyrics were passed around, and we all sang a song of thanks from the 1960s entitled Danke für diesen guten Morgen. The rest of the night involved photo slide shows and getting to know my relatives further.

Anstrengender Tag vor dem Beginn der großen Reise
... drin ist und daher mussten wir alles nochmal neu aus- und wieder einpacken=( Aber nun bin ich endlich fertig, habe hoffentlich an alles gedacht und starte morgen (oder eher gesagt heute) um 8 Uhr nach Frankfurt. Aber schon jetzt kann ich sagen:
