... and things lighten up again. We finally make it to where we can see the finish line and get stuck behind two different couples around our age moving slow. At this point I'm ready to rip their backpack off of them, steal their water and shove them down the rest of the steep rocky path to get to the bottom. The thing actually looked like it was sick or something, but I later learned that seals regularly come up on the beach to rest up-but they don't move very well on land so they appear to flop and flounder around when they do. However, as the pictures below show, ...

... into the pool with his wallet and phone in his pocket. Well he went with a bag to go get rice and comes back with the phone and rice in a ziplock bag. Momma asked him if it was dry rice and he looked puzzled. Then he felt the rice and he had stuffed his phone in a bag of cooked rice. I busted out laughing and he got so mad at me but he'll laugh about it later. Maybe a few years. It is probably of note that this morning we had to get up really early ...
