Dark and Noisy

The hotel reception showed promise however the room was dark with the noisiest air conditioning unit I have ever experienced. However the noise of the air con did manage to drown out a little of the sound clash going on in Khao San Road. We wanted to check out from the moment we arrived and glad when our departure date arrived. If you are looking for just a place to crash and you plan to party all night it is a good location if you want any sleep at night don't stay here.

Nice but F....K noisy

The standard double room was nice. Ok bathroom. Warm shower. Plastic bed. Nice crowded swimming pool. Ok for the money. BUT if you want to sleep at night... Don't go here .... The two biggest party places on khao san road is just outside the door , and ALL the music EVERY sound of drunk people is keeping you awake at night. But perfect for the party people.

Tiny rooms and a little pricey... but it is directly on Khao San Road! You definitely pay for the location although this hotel has a sick little rooftop overlooking the city and a pool on it. I would recommend staying away from the main strip but if you can't find anywhere else that has rooms available make sure to check out the roof!

It's currently 7.10 pm and we have just showered and are about to get ready. Jonny thinks it's cool to put the air conditioning on full blast, so are room currently feels like -10 degrees. Not cool . It's only Sunday and I have already been bitten down my leg about 8 times (not even exaggerating) yet Jonny hasn't even been bit once - what's that …

We had a very smooth journey albeit long, sleepless, and we were a little concerned we may miss our flight from Mumbai to Bangkok. The flight fortunately was delayed by half and hour or so to Bangkok I say this because I'm a geek and got to watch the sun rise over Thailand! It looked like something out of the Lion King absolutely unreal, Racky wasn …

So far, I've learned that when someone in Southeast Asia tells you "Ten more minutes" they really mean twenty, and so on. What I didn’t know when I wrote my last entry was that we would actually make the remaining 7 hours of what turned out to be a 12-hour return to Bangkok in a cramped minivan. But, I still consider myself lucky - as an …
