    Clean and simple

The room we had was a corner room which had two big lovely windows facing outwards. The room itself was really run down but clean and the bed had crispy clean sheets. Great location just south of the main Thamel tourist hub.

Nice Hotel But Stay Away from Rajendra

It was the first guesthouse I stayed in Nepal and in my RTW trip. I didn't know what to expect but it had the basic amenties like private bathroom with hot shower, a clean bed and a fan. Breakfast wasn't included although written on their website. It wasn't a big deal though but the real problem was Rajendra, the manager. He is one of the most money-minded, dishonest people I've evet met. Since the first day I arrived, he tried to sell me overpriced tours, exchanged my dollars in a lower rate and under his fake smile and kindness, he was just trying to take as much as money he could from me. After I returned from his tour (%50 more expensive than elsewhere in town), I was supposed to stay 2 nights more at this GH (already paid), but he said the GH was full now so he sent me to another guesthouse which turned out to be half cheaper in the end -so he could save a couple of dollars. Even the bus ticket to Pokhara he sold me was %40 more expensive. I'm so ripped off by him. My advice to you, just stay off him and you'll be ok.

    Amazing Nepal

... down from base camp. We also went to the Peace Pagoda overlooking the lake and then out for an amazing veg dinner. After dinner I suddenly felt just a little off and by the next morning I was beginning my decent into disaster. We had to catch a bus south to Chitwan and I felt progressively worse over the next few days. I managed to drag my butt out of bed for an ox cart ride to a traditional village, the canoe ride down the river to see crocs and the elephant centre and the elephant ...
