... final leeches on us, our clothes, and our bags. When I went to the "jungle toilet" I discovered a leech had somehow got in through my pants onto my leg. It was both scary and gross. Once the leeches were off, lunch was wonderful in both taste and relaxation. ... on stilts, they were about the size of a 1-2 man tent. Apparently this is where the bachelors live, there must be a lot of bachelors in the village because there were a lot of these huts. When he first asked us to guess what they were we said rice stores. Some of them would have had a great view when they opened their doors in the morning though, as they had no other huts blocking their way. ... the paddies were not green though as we are well into the dry season. The Lanten village next to the waterfall was the most traditional that we saw on the ride. This tribe is probably best known for its cotton making and dying. The women were still dressed traditionally and were busy next to the river making bamboo paper out of the pulp.
