... located down a small lane off the main street running parallel to the coast, which was full of tourist shops, hotels and restaurants. Our lane only had a few home stays and small guesthouses, as well as a couple of warungs and a small textiles workshop.. it was a nice break from the tourist tat. Our hotel was lovely.. 'Jukung Guesthouse', and was only about 12 rooms surrounding a small swimming pool. It was such an oasis, really relaxing and so nicely decorated ...

... For those North American's Bali is not Hawaii or even Mexico. I have heard that due to the wet season (although we have only had rain at night) and the on shore wind that garbage piles up on the beaches (which we have seen at Balangan). Our final day of diving brought about new challenges. This dive was in Sanur. We were heading to the Sanur reef which is host to an array of aquatic life. We were to dive from a boat. The weather wasn't to great which made the water very choppy. As I have said before, it is not a boat ride unless I vomit. I sat on the ...

So yesterday we arrived in Ubud about noon time, the shuttle bus trip was very pleasant as there was great views of the landscape on the way. We also had aircon which has left me with a cold once again Ubud very much reminds me of India or Nepal, it's a little town full of artist, culture and monkeys. There are loads of backpackers and it's literally hippy heaven with yoga retreats and healthy food and organic restaurants everywhere! The perfect ...
