... wanted to see a traditional Kecah dance. There were signs everywhere around the temple that warned you to watch out for your glasses, earrings, and hats because the many monkeys living on the temple grounds would steal them. Those signs were a good warning, because almost immediately a monkey snuck up behind Oli and stole his sunglasses right out of his pouch. A local ran up with a bunch of bananas and traded the monkey for the ...

When I returned to my guide with my report - he then told me it was highly illegal to gamble or have cock fights in Indonesia. In fact - the prison sentence is 4 years if caught......nice......no wonder pictures were not welcome and in fact, non-players were not ...
Sanur, Indonesia everywhere... stone bridges and walkways. And many many many monkeys. After a quick swim at the hotel and some yummy BLT's then it was off to the Zoo (yes an adventure day) The zoo was a bit pricey on the old entry front but within seconds it was worth it when someone put a toucan on Josh's arm and two parrots on mine! Cooool! It had everything you could want in a zoo, Tigers, hippos, crocodiles, lions, kangaroos etc. awesome. The best part i wont lie was not walking round the zoo ...
Kuta, Bali, Indonesia melimeli... verticale a l'exterieur.
Sanur, Bali, Indonesia france_rejean... a Muslim Prayer, a Civil Ceremony, a Chinese Marriage Ceremony and finally a reception for all. All of this took ALL DAY, but was so interesting to see and I can honestly say was very well scheduled. There was so much to coordinate that the brother of the groom was constantly on top of everyone to be in the right place at the right time. Not any easy task with a wedding party of about 20 people... Anyway the reception was complete with Stevie Wonder ...
Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia graceonthego... of the little town/village. We stayed 3 days in Bali, wandering around Kuta and Ubud and on the 4th day, we took the fast boat (Gili Cat) to carry us to Gili Trawangan. The boat package included a pick-up service from Kuta area to Padang Bai Port, where the boat carried us to Gili in 1 hour. The motor is 3x300 horsepower strong. so it was really fast, and after 30mins, I was sea-sick and could not talk ...

Sanur, Bali, Indonesia aguas... town centre, to watch a traditional Balinese Lekong dance and music performance. Incredible vivid colourful costumes and headresses. Perfectly timed head and hand movements but it is the eyes that tell the story - all made up with amazing make-up to capture and allure the audience. Asia is a land of such contrasts - from ancient architectural gems, historical city kingdoms to modern day sprawling metropolises. Travelling through Asia has been an incredible journey. New sights, smells ...
Bali, Indonesia griffix... when i stepped outside was , WOW, its is hot here....my guest house here in sanur has air-con, but my guest house up in Ubud, only has a fan, but I hear its cooler up there. My guest house is called Flashbacks, and its a small place with only 7 rooms, and i have the bungalow, with a cool outdoor style stone bathroom, and lots of character. Almost everything in Bali, is open air, and they like to bring the outdoors in, its really beautiful. I went and had ...
Sanur, Indonesia elizacass... already for this trip as he starts at page 1. When To Go! Tim has come up with a brilliant invention - mobile phone activated GPS luggage locater! After several duty free rums at above time of writing, we went out to Papa's cafe and splurged on lobster fettucine for me and mediteranean pasta for Tim with garlic bread and calamari. Very nice setting with music and very cool guitar sounding violin player. This was after many hours ...
