From Byron we travelled back up to Brisbane. We were going the right way as the traffic in to Byron was mental with the Rhythm and Blues festival happening that weekend!]. We headed off at 10 and were in Brisbane by 12. We spent the day in the city, doing some jobs like going to STA travel, waiting for Helena and Daniel to get back from work. We got the bus over to their lovely flat. It was awsome seeing my lovely BFF Helly, I'd not seen her since her and Daniel were in England ...

The koala eating their eucalypt leaves- which don't supply enough energy to feed their brains, so that's why they appear so dopey- being the only animal with a brain that has shrunk! Feeding kangaroos, wallabies and emus was a particular favourite, as well as the barn animals including our favourite white goat. ... very thankful when the roads evened out, and we arrived first at a lakeside teahouse for delicious pumpkin soup, and finally at our destination: Millaa Millaa Waterfall Circuit!

Just past Millaa Millaa (an ugly small town that tries to pass itself off as a tourist attraction) is Millaa Millaa Falls, and two more waterfalls all along one side road, a few kilometres from each other. These falls were gorgeous! And thankfully the rain stopped long enough for us ...

... to do in any circumstance. Later on we head back up to Indian Point. So named as when Captain Hook passed here first, he saw what he thought was Indians. Turns out to have been Aboriginals that wore head dresses of some sort, as this was a ceremonial place for them. From there we head to the Champagne Pools. These are natural formed rock pools.
