I have been in the Philippines for exactly 10 days now which means I am halfway through my trip already! Gosh, does time fly or what? I also realized in the course of my blogging, there are so many things I've been leaving out as a result of my poor memory after long days, so I'll have to try and make one of my blogs "everything I forgot to tell you." :)

The group really wanted to focus on increasing facility-based deliveries (86% of the deliveries in Pila are at home!!), but unfortunately the Rural Health Unit (RHU) does have the capacity or basic emergency obstetric care services (BEmOC) to have all deliveries at the facility. So right ...

... that the sign of a successful teambuilding. After some morning free time and something to eat we boarded the bus back to Manila. You’d think that would be the end of the story but the teambuilding weekend lived on for 2 more weeks thanks to our team photographers who put together slide show videos so we could relive the event. Its amazing the creativity and time that went into putting this weekend together. Everyone did a great job and I was totally impressed. ...
