Up at 04:15 and our the door by 4:45 not a bad effort I would say. Got to the airport in good time very busy at the check in counter but we got through with plenty of time to spare before boarding for the leg to the Gold Coast. Anyway they sent the shuttle to pick us up and we signed all the paperwork etc for the car. We went outside to check it over and it is bright yellow!! Certainly has character :) so we called it Marge hehe. Marge is nice and new and a lot easier to drive than eggy (as much as we loved eggy) with lovely air con! Mmmm air con. We made ...

Set off later than planned. Dropped Max off at the best dog sitter in Dalmeny - our dear friend Jennifer. He is sure to be well looked after and enjoy Fergus's company as well. Listened to the memorial service for Gough Whitlam along the way. What a moving ceremony it was. ...
