... stories. We talked a bit about accents, and he says "you know what I like to say to Australians? When they ask you, 'did you arrive today?' I respond, 'no, I arrived to live'" Get it? Get it? I thought it was hilarious. Hint- read it with an Australian accent. We also got a fish foot spa that day. I had never heard of it before, but Jen had. So we decided to try it for the experience. It's where you put your feet in a fish tank for 15 min. And let hundreds of ...

In any case, we must all be getting very old very quick, because the next day was slow start to say the least! We finally pulled our sorry butts out of bed and rented mopeds and drove north a bit to some more secluded beaches and a temple that was carved onto a kind of island thing...I guess? I think I missed the whole backstory and why it is important and whatnot. Whatever. We just like riding mopeds and feeling ...

A quick dip and lunch to prepare for our half day tour included in our package to Tanhalot sunset with other stops along the way at the Royal Temple- Mengwi and the Monkey and Bat Forrest. Monkey/bat Forrest an interesting business model - you are charged a small entry fee and then allocated a guide who has a stick in case the monkeys get aggressive?? The ...

I arrived in Bali following two very long bus rides. I was looking forward to Bali because Bali evokes all sorts of exotic imagery of beaches, sunsets, and religious sites. I stayed at Kuta Beach which is the main tourist area. And yes, it was indeed very touristy. But, there's something for everyone on Bali. The Bali sunset certainly did not disappoint! A big thanks to Marion and Siloaune for their help getting to Bali and finding a ...

Nice room

For the price, the room was nice and we loved the pool! We spent quite a bit of time there since the beaches were sometimes too crowded. The only unfortunate part was some people didn't know how to watch over their children and they went wild in the pool, yelling and splashing. It was my only complaint however it's not the hotels fault. Although, they could have perhaps said something to the parents.
