... wrong when it came to my turn for the rescue. In addition to our instructor we also had Goma, who is a young girl training to be an instructor. For some reason when she came to rescue me I was unable to feel where her kayak was and I panicked as I could not get myself upright again! This was the second experience I had with Goma when she was unable to help me and Deepak had to rush in and help. It really knocked my confidence and as we progressed to learning how to roll I could ...
Pokhara, Nepal slw321... The third day was some bird watching at sunrise but i'd had enough of sunrise awakenings so slept in.
Back in Pokahara i wanted to do some rafting and was shopping round for a good deal and was told by a Canadian rafting company that the waters were too low to have a real white water trip, so i sadly had to pass up on that.
In Goa now, never leaving, when i can peel myself away from the beach i might start doing some kite surfing and fishing but for now, life's a beach.

Begnas Lake , Nepal emeric.bensaci... was the leader, again. He had lot's of "interesting" stories about his service, most of these were pretty pathetic. I tried to ask the folks what exactly do they think about all these, but they are too motivated, and it was quite impossible to have a discussion with them.
Tomorrow I say hello to all that company and go to the Tilicho lake. I hope to find a company on the way, otherwise, I'll probably will wait for some.
... Danish friend land he's a tall fellow and he's got his feet up coming in just before he lands sets down with a little trot, perfect landing. My turn to come in I get my self out of the harnass legs ready and I remember oh yeah legs up like Stefan! Second error this time my fault. When I lifted my legs up it caused my big butt to go back into the harnass and I couldn't get back out before I landed and landed onto my butt. This caused the parachute to go over and this was ...
Pokhara, Nepal mo_mike... Therefore, when you get red meat, it's often called "buff" instead of beef. This might be water buffalo...or it might be just another misspelling on the menu. ;)
Local farmers with their water buffalo!
The landscape around the Annapurna Circuit is just breathtaking. The photos ...
Pokhara, Nepal sonja_and_david... all day long in the blistering heat, we went down 1430m and up 1725m so by the time we got to Dobhan we were exhausted. However we did have a helping hand today and were proudly presented with sticks from the guide, Neil’s made out of wood and mine made out of bamboo.
However, we did have our first sight of wildlife today as we saw a monkey (Common Langur) and some deer whilst walking through the Rhododendron, Oak and Bamboo forests.
When we got to ...
... ate Skittles for breakfast. The kid amazes me! He's going to climb Everest and he eats Skittles for breakfast. Eugene answered the hundreds of questions I had for him with a big smile and so much kindness. He's hoping to reach the summit on May 8 because he'll turn 64 that day which made me realize that he was born on the end of the Second World War official day: May 8, 1945.
We were packed and had to say good bye to Base Camp. I so would love to ...
