Reaching the top we drove along the ridge, passing a giant and garish statue (see photo) and a giant and garish new resort. Pretty disappointing that in the middle of this wilderness was a hotel/casino that dominated the local landscape. ... Tuk driver drops to $1, but we walk. Freshen up and go in search of the boat trips, Kampot is famous for its fireflys. Captain Chims restaurant is the place. sunset cruise, free beer $5 each can't say no. Cruise the river through the evening late sun and sunset to lovely scenery.
