... full day tour that went on from the pandas to the Leshan Giant Buddha, but I think we needed the lovely relaxing afternoon we had anyway. To start with we tried to go to Jinli Pedestrian Street, but it was so busy that you couldn't move so we went back to Kuanzhai Xiangxi where we bought panda memorabilia (I bought a rucksack!) and found a crafty cafe where Ellie, Bekah and I decorated panda jars whilst Naima made bracelets. ... its reputation, at the front gate you are welcomed by a starbucks (written in English, no Chinese). We followed the crowd in the sprinking rain, taking photo opportunities of beautiful water lilies, the antiquated cooking tool to make soy milk backintheday, it like a Chinese version of the small town mount Dora back home. Then there were lines of streets of spicy Sichuan, street food - liang pi, doufu, and something a little bit newer - ...

... at the ridiculousness of this crazy lady! We found out that the Glaswegians were sharing our dorm. Their mission had started a good 16 months earlier in New Zealand, they had cycled all the way, catching only the necessary transport over water. They planned to cycle all the way home. Pretty Impressive, got us thinking about doing something similar, maybe on a smaller scale, Europe?
Anyhow, I'm being far too detailed as per usual, should really get to the main points ...
