... and coffee. Back to the hotel around 3ish. I haven't seen much of Marrakech yet but so far it seems quite nice. The roads are wide and clean and the driving is quite orderly. Thought it would be more like in Asia but it's not so much. The mountains in the background look beautiful. Glad I'm here at this time of year though. Would be boiling hot in summer. We had our tour meet and greet at 6pm. Our tour guide is Mohommed ...

... complex was built piecemeal as areas of additional land were gradually made available by their viziers sultans. The layout is very irregular and there are no continuous axes, or unified elevations. The palace is quite large and extends over nearly eight hectares project consists of a series of walled gardens, pavilions and buildings of the court at different scales. Materials for decorating the Palais Bahia came from all over North Africa. Marbles were ...

... although he hung around the front door for a while occasionally banging demanding his tip.

We ventured off into the square to meet up with a few people we'd met on our Sahara Tour. We wanted to eat at one of the BBQ stalls that are set up every evening from 6pm. As we walked up and down the aisles we were hassled at every single stall. It was terrible, to a point where at one stage 4 men huddled around us with their arms out so ...
