... couch. A neighbor stopped by. She had been drinking most of the day so she was pretty funny. She called me a beautiful specimen, which I decided was weird, but still a compliment.

I met another Ford family today. We hung out with Jody during the day and I met the rest of the family this evening. Their kids go to an international school and it sounds like they have some amazing opportunities. Their daughter is going to Barcelona and Prague this school year! ...

After Chengdu our next stop was Leshan which was a quick taxi and a two and a half hour bus ride away. It is getting more hot and humid as we travel south and crops, though I am terrible at identifying them are definitely changing from predominantly corn to rice and tea. Our hotel in Leshan was decadent and posh in relative terms.
