We sailed through the night on Wednesday 22 July 2014, plus all day and night Thursday 23 July 2014 and arrived on the beautiful cove of Dubrovnik in Croatia at around 7:00am. What a view to arise to!! The town of Dubrovnik is located on the Adriatic Sea in the termination of the Isthmus. The main part of the town is not a very large, however neatly nestles into the hillside of the bay, overlooking the sea. The Medi-evil City of Dubrovnik was built in the ...
... 2 tour guides on board with us. Our cabins were similar to the boat we had in Turkey and came complete with our own ensuite. We boated to our first port/island, which was called Korcula. It took us about 4 hours but that included a swim stop in there for an hour as well. I think it would only take just over 2 if you didn't stop. The night really summed up the sail for me, it had so much potential and there was many great times had. It just lacked a couple of things such as the weather and some of the ...
... We hadn't planned our food situation very well. All we had was a small packet of crackers, a single serve portion of jam, and a piece of chewing gum each. We laid our picnic feast out on our towels and rationed it out like we were in the army. From here we paddled back over to the mainland towards a little beach. It looked quite crowded so we kept going as we wanted to see this big cave further up. Good call! The cave was the highlight of the day. There was a ...
