The first Brazilian friend I made out here was an exceptionally good guy called Gustavo, who I met at the first hostel in BA. Gustavo told us all that the most beautiful place he'd been to in Brazil is was called Bonito (which translates to literally mean "beautiful"). So I conferred with Google and a couple of other travelers, and decided to head straight to this paradise after finishing in Iguacu. As soon as I arrived in Bonito I knew I would love ...

... around the town. The rivers are fed by cold springs and because the air temperature was so cold we decided not to go on any of the snorkelling trips which were expensive and worried that it might not be very enjoyable with the cold air. ... filtered or something like that. I can't argue, you could see loads, apparently visability is up to 40m which is believable. The obvious benefit was you could see lots of fish. The highlight for me though was the location, just imagine this crystal clear river running through the rain forest, it was beautiful with no noise other than that of the forest. We just floated along for about two hours, it was jolly lovely.

Brazil is certainly a beautiful place to be!
