... it was time to give up. Sometimes birthdays are **** because any bad luck seems to be amplified because it's your birthday, and today was one of those days, we'd try again tomorrow. Sunday April 12th Today was a good day. We wanted a coffee and croissant for breakfast, we got one. We wanted to dine at the restaurant for lunch, we dined there. Finally that night we found ...

The toll was a total of +€25 for 330 Kms but worth it in travelling time. Again getting off the freeway and into Balboa was a mental challenge and navigating the one way roads in the city would be all but impossible without the GPS. Booked into our room and walked around a few blocks of the ...

... on the really old bottles are too brittle, so to open them (like when they opened a 1929 bottle to fete Gehry, since that is his birth year), they have to heat a pair of tongs, apply the tongs to the neck of the bottle, and then splash cold water on the bottle's neck to force it to break open. Pretty nifty. Another highlight was the bottle aging area, where the winery can age up to 7.6 million bottles at a time before release to the public.

    The wine ...
