... hummus, pesto and artisan bread. Curious combo, but perfect as a mid-afternoon pick me up before the flight to Delhi. Sort of a healthy starter, and at the same time final freshness boost, before two and a half weeks where everything I eat will be cooked into submission... On Friday we didn't catch the bus until midday so we decided to see how good the boxing day sales were. There was a tonne of clothes with prices that had been slashed but the longer we stayed in town the more people that flooded in. So as soon as I found a jacket to wear on New Years we got out of there. By the time we got back to the hotel it was time to jump in a cab and head to the bus station. I’d arrived back in Glasgow on the train last night. Miraculously I found my way back to Shaun’s flat all by myself. I was glad that my train trip south was all in clear blue skies and unobstructed views of the ocean, as my trip north was through mist and rain. The moment I was back on Scottish soil the sun came out (this memory may have been obstructed by time). ... not going to be pretty if she does...

Today I have to pack and have an ealry night as I leave for Dublin early in the morning....Managed to get my big suitcase packed and under weightand was hoping I could do the same with my hand luggage....Everything has to go into one bag, handbag, cameras and other stuff you are carrying on the plane.

Off to bed now, hopefully I will get some sleep....
