... then went out to eat for Katy’s last night. We found this really good little restaurant hidden behind one of the vendor booths in the leather market and had a great time sharing memories.
The next morning, Steve and I took Katy to the train station and wished her good travels (only a few tears were shed). It was raining quite a bit, so we were all kind of gloomy. We headed over to the Uffizi Museum, but only Steve went in (I’ve seen so ...
... Cranberry Sauce, Stuffing, Potatoes, and Mixed Vegetables. For dessert pumpkin pie, ice cream, and apple cider! It was nice to spend the night with classmates and a few professors.
Friday night, we had yet another Thanksgiving with all of my friends. Everyone prepared their favorite dish and we spent the night telling stories of our families Thanksgivings.

... life time on this trip already!
Climbed the tower in the main piazza, saw an enormously large pizza and had wild boar sausages for lunch which were a bit gamey but nice.
Went for drinks at Lochness bar and ended up drinking long islands as there wasn't much in the way of wine or beer there.
Hi Everyone!
After an exhausting weekend in Brussels, I was in for yet another treat with cooking classes in Florence. Organized by my school, a group of us met with a chef for some lessons.
We were taught how to prepare typical Tuscan cuisine including Ribollita and Stuffed zucchini-flowers.
Everything was delicious & I look forward to trying these recipes at home!

Me and 20 of my newest friends went to the Chianti region of Italy and spent the morning cutting grapes for the harvest and drinking wine. Lunch on the vineyard consisted of home-grown tomatoes which were made into bruchetta, home made bread, pasta salad with fresh herbs and a fresh salad Man it was good. We went to another winery after that where we ...

... we settled for the copy. They were beautiful anyways. Next was the fun part. We decided to climb to the top of the Dome. I think it was about 490 stairs to the top through tiny staircases that got smaller as you went higher. Before you actually started to climb up the Dome you came out on the inside of the church at the base of the dome and looked up to see all the crazy paintings, then it took you back into a tiny door ...

We found a water bottle for Kathie and a Bianchi bottle for Mike. We also found some jerseys for the two of us that were Siena specific. While trying on the jerseys some Americans came into the store and we had some conversations with them. They were on a Vermont Bicycle Tour and the couple in the trio was from Alexandria.
Soon we went to catch the bus and were on our way back to Arbia. On the bus we caught the ear of a woman sitting next to us. She started ...
... plan for about 2 hours. I saw the leaning tower and yes it was defianlly leaning. Other then the tower there just wasnt that much to do. Seeing that I was getting bored I thought the least I could do was climb the damn thing. I headed over to the ticket office where I found out that tickets were 15 Euros to climb the 500 steps to the top. There was absolutly not a chance I was playing close to $25.00 to see the top of a tower. I settled on ...
