Ireland, to be sure, to be sure!!!
... off to walk the streets of Dublin, viewing Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral, and the shopping strip, Grafton Street. We stopped for a breather at a beautiful park with lots of weeping trees and a lake full of waterfowl. The Irish sun was shining bright today and it turned out to be a beautiful (somewhat hot) day.
Off to Galway and Limerick tomorrow, continuing our journey south through Ireland.

The day after we did the duck tour, we got tickets for a hop-on, hop-off bus. We first hopped off at Dublin Castle. This huge castle was the stronghold of the British during the 740 years that they ruled Ireland. The castles other purpose was to entertain the British monarchy when they came to visit. Of course, the rule of the British for most of the time that they ruled Ireland was a monarchy, but the monarchy couldn't be in Ireland ...

After the tour we went to the famous Brazen Head pub, (the oldest in ireland!) for diner. They had thr traditional old guys singing Irish songs. It was a neat lil pub.
& now im back in London! Bout to leave for Hyde Park! I got lucky bc the forecast i's 72 & sunny today, perfect park conditions! Hope all is well back home, I miss you guys!
