... other people. Standing room only on the way back, which felt even more treacherous as we zoomed downhill in the rain. I actually got a bit nauseous from the ride! Mike was standing next to an older Italian gentleman who kept up a steady stream of chatter, in Italian, the whole way. We think he was pointing out the sights to Mike as we passed them, but aren't sure. After that crazy ride, we dropped our purchases off at our hotel and then went for some gelato. Mike has his ...

Some people are far too serious. The views from just beyond the gardens were spectacular. After that it was time to take a boat around the island, giving us a chance to ...

... head back down the street to a nicer hotel and the lady at front desk. She tells us a price, we say we saw it for much less, she agrees to our price and calls the cleaning lady so that she can show us one of the rooms. We were surprised by the room, a full kitchen (gas stove, oven, big frig), nice bathroom, a balcony with a slight view of the sea, pool with no water yet, laundry facility. Maiori is a beach ...
