Bye bye Tuscany, hello Roma!

Our 5 days in Tuscany have come to an end. Farewell meal the night before at our restaurant of choice in Radda in Chianti (Le del Chianti) and had one of the best Italian meals I have ever had! We will part company with Neil and Christine for a week before joining up again in Sicily. Early rise and off to Florence to catch a train to Roma. Only 1 hour 20 minutes and we were in Roma. ... when we asked how many grams the steak came in, the answer was 900! So Sherry and I split the steak....it was just perfect. The only problem was we all had to walk back up the 'hill' to get home. Hills here are about as straight up as you can get without falling over backwards.

We did make it home, played some cards and then hit the sheets and I don't think I moved all night!

... over 100 wines. The samples were a pretty substantial serve and averaged about 80 cents each. Some were as high as 6 Euros, but most were only 60 cents. You can imagine how easy it would be to get drunk at this place. (We didn't though.)

The other highlight, simple as it was, was Claudio pulling over to the side of the road and telling the girls to try some grapes he picked right off the vine.

The wedding in a small rural Italian village was next on the agenda... who needs maps and sat nav to get out of Rome? Pffft for the beginers. We made it here eventually.

The wedding was amazing. Bride and groom in all their splendor and the guests in all the sangria mmmmm.
