... when we asked how many grams the steak came in, the answer was 900! So Sherry and I split the steak....it was just perfect. The only problem was we all had to walk back up the 'hill' to get home. Hills here are about as straight up as you can get without falling over backwards.

We did make it home, played some cards and then hit the sheets and I don't think I moved all night!

We departed Montefiascone at 9 AM bidding farewell to Rick and Sharon and thanking them for their extraordinary kindness to all of us. We then drove north through the heart of central Tuscany through rolling hills and gorgeous scenery. We drove up and over Mount Amiata the tallest peak in southern Tuscany. ... over 100 wines. The samples were a pretty substantial serve and averaged about 80 cents each. Some were as high as 6 Euros, but most were only 60 cents. You can imagine how easy it would be to get drunk at this place. (We didn't though.)

The other highlight, simple as it was, was Claudio pulling over to the side of the road and telling the girls to try some grapes he picked right off the vine.
