          ... fills up and parties before they give up things they like for lent. Venice was home to the very rich who had servants running around to do everything for them.           ... The houses/buildings were also very different to France with the second story being wider than the first, giving the houses a top heavy sort of look. As we were winding up the mountains it just kept getting better! When we arrived at Engelberg, we headed straight to our accommodation. The view from our windows were spectacular. We could see snow-capped mountains from our room while it was over 30 degrees outside still.

          ... tunnels to pass, if Switzerland was attacked they could destroy all entries to the country in 15 minutes. Thunderstorms raged over the peaks as we climbed to Engelberg and our hotel. Some amazing beer yet again with a hearty soup and venison for dinner. Ice cream and chocolate for dessert. When I sort some free wifi tomorrow I will post some pics from my last few ...

          What we learnt day:

          In Europe they have truck free Sunday. No trucks are allowed on the road. At all the servos we pulled into, trucks were parked with the curtains pulls in the back cab. I can only imagine the uproar that would occur if this type of law was passed in Australia.

          ... met up at a pub, we had a price. Sadly, the guide from the other group got his wallet stolen and lost a massive amount of money (so much they won't tell us how much) which really put a dampener on the night. We had an early one because the next day we were going on top of a mountain!! Morning came and we struggled like always to get out of bed.
