Tulips! Here we come!

... the tulips are dug out in June and July and a new theme will be created for the fall planting. We spent one glorious day in this beautiful garden and count our blessing that we saw the much "coveted" black tulip and equally rare green tulip.

In addition to the tulips, Keukenhof also has beautiful display of orchids. They have some unique orchids that look like Pansy's. Very interesting. I would recommend every flower lover to visit this place at least once in their ...

Friday 30th August
Was a leisurely start to the day as we were tired from trip and yesterday's activities. ... Finished off the night walking to the red light district, held on tight to our men mmm.

We are staying in Rembrandt Square right in the heart of Amsterdam. There is a statue of Rembrandt and a large interactive LCD screen 7.6 m x 15 m.

We are lucky that in the park as a celebration of Rembrandts 400th year there are statues which represent his painting The Night Watch. They will be moved out of the square tomorrow ...
