... would sell partial drums to have all my tanks completely full but Sri Lanka Petco will not and I hate to have to pay for an full drum but can only use maybe 15 gal of it and the rest gets wasted..... Maybe they would use for their 3 Wheelers or maybe thats what they are counting on in the first place. After our arrival in Kandy we started to walk from the bus station to the city center. As usual, we didnīt book any accommodation in advance so we had to look for something convenient first. We got lucky and found a cheap hotel located 5-minute walk from the Temple of the Tooth, a touristic attraction no. 1 in Kandy. Iīm not sure but I believe we were paying RS 2,000 per night. ... of different speices of trees from all over the world. And some huge giant bamboo. It was so so wide!! At the northern end of the gardens, a suspension bridge over a river. There was a lake, a bandstand and several different rows of huge huge palms. Really cool! But again, as with all touristy attractions, quite expensive at 1,100Rps (£5.20). We spent an hour and a half wandering around, before heading for some icecream! Back in town and a wander around. Back ...

... She said I was a godsend (obviously:-) as it is the low monsoon season. We talked a bit and she mentioned that her son lived in Melbourne and that she was really ****** off because she loves visiting Sydney. Funny.
The heavens opened an hour ago so I am hoping to make a run for the only restaurant within cooee called no name restaurant, where dishes are a dollar and the 'runs' are free :-) see what happens.
