A travel blog entry by eiry on Aug 04, 2014

Woke up early for breakfast and had some toast made for us again because we were the only white ones there! After breakfast, we headed out so that we could find onward travel to Lake Toba. After enquiring at a few places we managed to book travel for 7 pm that night. Therefore we had most of the day to kill. We headed back to our hotel to pack and check out. We ...

Thankfully we made it out and as we walked out of the park we saw a family of macaque monkeys which was nice!

On our 3rd day we hired a moped, it was great with a huge Union Jack on the front ...

... corps flower, due to it smelling particularly bad so as to attract flies and other insects which pollinate it. I did put my head almost right inside and the smell to me wasn't overly terrible. I do however have a bad sense of smell, so may be that sort of thing isn't a good idea if you know you have a good sense of smell.
