    It was a decent ride to Puerto Viejo. An easy boarder crossing in to Costa Rica. After checking in to our hostel we headed out for some lunch. Had a nice lunch of wraps while chatting to some retired and arrogant yanks who had been on our bocas shuttle.

    ... and stopped off at two more beaches (Playa Chicita was a walk down a track opposite a stable and Cocles which is near town and a big, broad surfing beach.) If we were to stay longer in town we would just make a day off it at Cocles as this beach is good and could try body boarding, but lots of seaweed in the water.

    Dinner at Flip Flop which was good and then to bed as early morning.

    Sunday marked the start of our three week backpacking adventure up through Costa Rica and on to Nicaragua! We all agreed to spend a little extra money on a shuttle since there were eight of us traveling and no one wanted to risk having to stand up in a crowded bus for four hours to the border. We had booked it for 9am, but the driver was late by almost an hour due to the fact he had to get a special permit for driving us. It didn't ...

    ... he'd bitten her! He didn't manage to break the skin though, he's so naughty! He actually managed to bite her again a bit later and her and Jess were saying how they were love bites. I told them they were being delusional :p I had Tigger again who was as good as gold and is actually a little sweet heart. I managed to have a little hug with Linus too at the end :) We now have two new volunteers, Missy, who got here the other day ...

    will just have to update me as to the media coverage and everything once I have internet again! Hopefully we will be able to know who was elected because the field station manager in Bocas is American!

    We only have about 5 more weeks of classes now! I can’t believe it, this has just flown by!! The
    next time I post, there will only be about 3 weeks left of the program! Wow!! Well, enjoy the cold and snow of the US (heehee) ...
