    ... why we thought so many surfers came to the spot. The wave has great formation but looked really small in comparison to most of the waves we see at home (we did learn that the wave is a lot bigger in December and January and that when surfing in the Caribbean you get a much faster wave then on the Pacific coast).     ... so we head there and order two large americanos. Wow. It was a fantastic brew and such a nice change to have a proper coffee rather than the drip coffee we have become accustomed to. We get the devastating news they are closed tomorrow and retreat to the room to get ready to head to the beach for the surf competition we have been informed about.     ... samsonites on wheels. The boat trip along the river and canals was a good introduction to the area with quite some wildlife on the way like crocodiles. Tortuguero is not just about the turtles but also a lush forest surrounded by canals where you can do some canoeing and hiking.     ... again!... but we invited a guy from L.A riding his motorcycle to Argentina and an English guy who came to teach English with some organization. He even bought a bottle of "Guaso" and drank some just to get familiar with the taste of it.
