Today was the day we were going to rent that surf board. We picked up bikes and cycled off to the beach armed with our books and lunch and water. We had decided we only needed one board as we couldn't just leave our stuff unattended on the beach. We practiced in the foamies for the day but after a discussion we decided to book a lesson for an hour and a half ...

But first, Leesh wants another wicked coffee at the chocolate place next door before we make our way done, so we drop in, grab a coffee and sort out a few things online while we enjoy the taste for the last time in a few days. ... green and luscious jungle river in the mountains where we were to begin our adventure. We rafted through canyons and past large waterfalls. The jungle we traveled through was amazing! Vines entangled everything and the greenery rose high into mountains above us. The rapids were rated at level 2, 3 and 4- so some were more rough and adrenaline pumping than others. It was Macushla's first time rafting so she was slightly anxious at first but we ...

... because a number of the wood connections have huge gaps between them. Because the bridge is literally what connects the two countries, we decided we wanted a picture of us on it, so we asked a local kid to take one for us. Once he took the picture, I turned to keep walking but my foot slipped through one of the gaps, leaving me sprawled out with my 35 pound backpack on... not my finest moment! Oh well, I'm glad I didn't ...
