Edam cheese, windmills, pea soup and pannenkoek
... tour of the fort was very well done as we had our own personal volunteer guide who was able to speak good English so I didn't have to translate for Debbie. The tour lasted about one hour and then we wandered back into the town. We stopped into the L'Auberge Dam Hotel Edam where we enjoyed pannenkoek (dutch pancakes) and wine and cappuccino.

Erster Programmpunkt am Dienst war das Van Gogh Museum, da tagsüber offenbar zu lange Wartezeiten entstehen. Am besten gefielen mir, wie immer, die Werke von Claude Monet. ;)

... night in the Netherlands. Finally, we headed back to get some sleep before heading back to Brussels in the morning. In the morning, we quickyl grabbed breakfast and caught the train back to Brussels.
The weekend in the Netherlands was welllll spent! Got to see multiple cities and experience different sides of the Netherlands. It seems like a place I will have to try and come back to? It's time to rest up for the week because my Great UK adventure starts on Thursday night!
