    Beach Paradise

A travel blog entry by anlnewby on Jun 11, 2015

Today started like the last few. An early wake up for me and a nice gentle sleep in for Lisa. Today Lisa was happy to make breakfast and did a wonderful job. The day started cloudy and we weren't sure whether it would be a good day to camp out at the beach for the whole day. We decided to go anyway and the cloud cover soon moved to a beautiful sunny day. The water was amazing and fresh like ice to our warm ...

... walking out did the same. These small gestures felt so different, it's indescribable. I was touched by their sincerity and hospitality. Everyone on the streets smiles at you, it makes you feel like home. The Church of Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) is the village’s main church. It is a beautiful Byzantine church made of fine white marble. The cemetery is located at the back of the church. I was told Paros has many great beaches, each with its own beauty and ...

... then went to town passing at least 10 stray cats on the way. They all look fed but are very scared once you get near them. Some of the shops were still open as it was a Saturday afternoon so we browsed a few of them. We then had supper overlooking the port. For coffee and dessert we went near the square that they were playing volleyball at with blaring music and lots of people. We then went up all those stairs to get back to the house and believe me with a full stomach it's even worse.
