... on board the fast jet ferry to Athens or Piraeus Port and had been told the trip would take five hours. Five hours has come and gone and we are still tossing our way across the sea and will be for another 2 1/2 hours apparently. Its turned into a bit of epic journey and although its more comfortable than a plane its still a very long time to be sitting around and we won't be climbing into bed before 11.30 tonight. Its quite a rough ride at the moment as the ...

... we left that we were at Lageri instead as I wasn't paying much attention to the map. Santa Maria is on the other side of the bay with similar view I supposed. We passed by Kostos on the way to Lefkes and made a short stop, sitting on the bench while watching little kids in the playground and mums engaging in a conversation. From Kostos, you can make a turn to see the remains of the marble quarry in Marathi, it's very close from here but we proceeded to Lefkes instead. ...

... then went to town passing at least 10 stray cats on the way. They all look fed but are very scared once you get near them. Some of the shops were still open as it was a Saturday afternoon so we browsed a few of them. We then had supper overlooking the port. For coffee and dessert we went near the square that they were playing volleyball at with blaring music and lots of people. We then went up all those stairs to get back to the house and believe me with a full stomach it's even worse.
