We have been overlooking the neighbouring island Koh Phangan from our room since we have been here, wondering what the island is like and whether it is as populated as Samui or not. A little research told me the island is more jungley, less crowded and more laid back, it's also where the Full Moon party is held, where thousands of party goers flock to once a month. The last party was held late June, so we won't be coming across that during ...

... room and found a lizard :( I am so horrified! Today the whole bug thing has really got to me it's getting me down! Think i am getting a bit emotional being away from home, tired, over heated, and small things (is it a small thing? Lizard in your living space where you sleep and relax!?) feel like bigger things! Ant said he would get the lizard after I moaned about it at dinner but it has gone and we can't find it :( sleeping tonight is going to ...

Personally for me I can't see my self rushing back to Ko Samui and if I do I will look at staying at one of the more quieter and secluded beach areas where it feels more island and less resort. However I've had a great time and am now excited to start 2015 learning to dive and start the countdown to the next adventure to Australia. 14 days and ...

... road or beaches as the spirits have been tampered with. What could look like a bottle of absolut vodka has been undone filled with the cheapest vodka and revealed. We were picked up to go to the jungle party around 12, where as usual they tried to pile about 15 of us into the back of this truck thing. The journey to the jungle party was about 20 minutes, it seemed to go on forever!! When we arrived we got stamped and went in. There was a dj deck that had an inflatable tiger ...

Today I left slightly early 9:00 ish and made my way to nawange waterfall 2. It is the highest waterfall on koh samui. I was feeling a little disappointed during the initial walk, it was just a road, and the attraction was a tourist trap to the extreme! Animal shows and elephant rides, very contrived. I came to the hike portion and got to a small pool, at what I thought was the top, I kept going and met with a local Thai employee who led me ...
