Nach
einer langen Busfahrt in etwas dezimierter Zahl (der kranke Teil der
Gruppe, hat sich ein Auto gemietet), kommen wir in Udaipur an.
Bekannt als das Venedig von Indien. Romantisch am See gelegen,
beliebt für Hochzeiten und berühmt als Drehort für "Octopussy".


Auf

But after a wee freshen-up back at the hotel we headed out again for the evening, and although it was a lot busier than we were expecting (it’s a small place but there’s just so much going on all the time!), again there was a nice energy and a lot of interesting things to take in. ... breathtaking fort in the background built into the hillside (a bit like Edinburgh castle but more impressive). Again wish I could share the photos!!! Jaipur was called the pink city for a similar reason but it looked more orange than pink to me.

Our hostel had a room with an amazing view of the fort. Sadly that was all that was amazing about the place. The room was probably the grubbiest we've had so far, bed sheets were dirty, and the floor hadn't been cleaned in some time. ...
