AM - Well it was time to leave Tomas, Monika and Henris and return to Vilnius, Klaipeda isn't the most exciting place to visit or live! Even Tomas would agree with this! Tomas is a most caring and courteous man, he is very kind to his father Antanas. If it wasn't for Tomas searching on the internet, we would never have found him or the rest of Lana …

Big black clouds were rolling in as we drove around the city, it did rain later in the day and the evening. But back to ...

... back. I ended up having a shot of a 120 year old liquor that was SWEET, not just awesome but the taste was surprisingly not at all harsh.

I had an hour to kill to the time was spent in quite a similar fashion, sharing excited stories, great food, and sampling all sorts of Lithuanian liquor. It was great when I could get by on the little Lithuanian that I know to speak with the old mother, who would get so excited it warmed my heart. They would point to items ...

... to house Vilnius' Jewish civillians. It was one of those "wow, I'm VERY far from home" moments where the view that lay before us was exactly like I'd imagined parts of central/eastern europe would look like.

The so-called micro city of Uzupis was our next port of call.
The Independent Republic of Uzupis has a colourful history that can be best described not in my own words, but in those of another more clever and talented than I. Please enjoy the following excerpt from ...
