AM - Well it was time to leave Tomas, Monika and Henris and return to Vilnius, Klaipeda isn't the most exciting place to visit or live! Even Tomas would agree with this! Tomas is a most caring and courteous man, he is very kind to his father Antanas. If it wasn't for Tomas searching on the internet, we would never have found him or the rest of Lana …

Not a bad four-hour bus ride from Klaipeda. Vilnius is the capitol of Lithuania, on the opposite side of the country from Klaipeda and quite close to the border of Belarus.

Upstairs to finish off the Vana Tallinn with Kevin and bed after 2230.

I wasn't sure what the petrol situation would be in Lithuania - particularly being a Sunday - so I filled up at two towns before the border just in case, only 60km apart. It turned out to be entirely unnecessary, once I crossed the border there were open petrol stations everywhere. I made my way into Kaunas, where I wanted to visit ...

... yelps every so often. No one else seemed to be having the difficulty I was having. The views from the top were worth the climb. The wind at the top was pretty cold and we did not stay long.

Vilnius is rumored to have about 40 churches around the town. We stopped inside St. Anne's Church, Bernardine Church and the main Cathedral in Cathedral Square. John said that we only stop inside the churches because they warm him up. I am happy to go in a look ...
