Cowboy boots and fabulous flamenco
... in the shins and draws blood! Who knew that buying boots could be so hazardous! I will include a picture of the pair I wanted him to get and the pair we eventually got, which actually fit okay. My mission now is to see some flamenco. Seville, where it is very hot
... favourite was the Alfalfa Bar which took a while to find, but was worth it in the end not least because of the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help me with translations. In some of the bars, the staff were a little grumpy and unhelpful. A bit like Paris in a way.
I’m on the train to Granada this morning where I will be visiting the famous Alhambra Palace tomorrow and hopefully catch some flamenco dancing.

Sevilla Act III: Córdoba and Finale
Blue skies again! Perfect for an excursion to Córdoba, site of the Mezquita Cathedral - yet another World Heritage-listed site in Spain. A 50 minute high-speed train then local bus delivers us to our destination, stunning initially in the mass of it's outer wall. There and back again
... means i can catch up on catching up- the hostel in NUREMBERG was very funny usually 8 people in the room, lots of snoring . Ispent most of the time (evenings with Yaron the Isreali guy and some time with the polish guy Machin and then later a very nice american guy Mark turned up. there was a canadian tawaese woman Betty who always came in late after dinner with her bosses. Ola de Seville - Day 2 (or is it 3?)
... a little money/live a little and I went to reception to extend our stay until Friday. The cost for one more night in our beautiful suite - $700 Euro ($950 cdn) - for ONE night! Alas, as I type this, Mel has our lonely planet guide to Spain in her hands as we have been thrust back into planning mode. Not sure where we’re headed, but with a 700 Euro/per night contingency plan, I’m sure we’ll figure it out quickly.
