Cienfuegos looks like the kind of town that most in Cuba will turn into when even a degree of prosperity returns to this island nation. The colonial town of Cienfuegos was founded in 1819 in the Spanish territory but was initially settled by immigrants of French origin and does show French flavour in the architecture- and apparently the only natural blondes in Cuba come from this area as a result.

Woke up hung over as dog- had breakfast and went back to bed for a bit... I told Carlos to come to Cienfuegos with us the next morning and we'll there he was waiting for us.. Didn't think he was actually going to come! Decided that we would rent a car to go so we could all fit instead of two taxis. Went to Carlos town guanbo to see if we could get a car which was harder then we all though! Ended up taking all day- walking around from one car spot ...

We left Havana with everyone seemingly upright and by the time we reached Santa Clara the body count was 2 very unhappy punters and 3 more feeling the need for medication, 2 feeling they could go either way and 5 ok. Poor Aimara. As nobody had a common meal it is very hard to work out how we are all sick unless it's the hotel door handle!! Communicationis a huge issue.
