A deer entered the bar...........
Day 93 April 7th continued - The boat ride to the Island took over an hour. The waters were choppy and I was lucky that we had a larger ferry with vehicles keeping the boat pretty heavy. I sit on the top dock to enjoy the view as we leave the dock of San Jorge.
I also sit on top to enjoy the view as we sail closer and closer to the Isla …
Love Affair with a City
My love of Granada seems to be following a typical cycle of a romantic love affair. First there is the initial meeting and that blissful feeling of immediate adoration. But then as time passes glaring faults rush forth. Abruptly you are hit with the realization this is not the blemish free mate you originally revered. But slowly you begin to love …
Volcano Island
After crosssing the Nicaraguan border we boarded a bus to Rivas in order to catch a boat to the Isla de Ometepe. On the bus we met an Israeli guy called Avi who was heading the same way us and he travelled with us for the next few days.

The Infamous Rum
Took minibus to the capital, then another to Granada. The child bus monkey tried to charge us for our bags claiming they were a nuisance (no one else minded). The hostel is very friendly, very welcoming and you will meet lots of travellers.
You will get a bad night sleep, the bed is a wooden board with a mattress as thick as a sheet!
Animals are aplenty, while drinking Whisky I saw a deer and in the morning a duck tried to peck my feet.
The Chef cooks amazing food, it is worth staying at just for that.
