Thursday 6/11 We have made our way to Patong. We got in a day earlier than expected after catching a last minute flight from Bangkok. We left Siem Reap and planned to spend the night in Bangkok and fly down the following day. Reason being is the flight to Phuket left at 1740 and we were only scheduled to land in Bangkok at 1640. It's an international flight and so we would still need rocker immigration and get our checked bags. We found ourselves walking off the plane at ...

Not far from my hotel is a nice-looking restaurant, set back down a side street. It's a sprawling open-walled establishment with ponds, decks, bars, umbrellas and karaoke. I don't want to do a lot of walking, so I check it out. The prices are a little on the high side, but the ambiance makes up for it.

I'm seated and going through the menu. No vegetarian fare as usual. Hard to find it around here. ...
