Why Nepalis don't say thank you
... they hadn't attached the water pump feeding the water drums on the roof to the generator, which meant at a certain point each evening the water ran out. We can live without sinks and showers, but refilling the toilet, well that's more important, and when the power came back on all the guests routinely stampeded down to reception to remind them to turn the pump back on. Off to Kathmandu
... Our room was pretty standard with not much of a view because of adjacent buildings. Had a king size bed with good quality bedding and a new flat screen TV although the only English Channel we found was Al Jazeer. Chitwan National Park
... hvilket er paa eget ansvar. Vi fik set vildsvin og daadyr, men missede lige et par sorte naesehorn, de andre turister havde skraemt dem vaek. Saadan var det virkelig nederen, hvis man ikke er den foerste paa stedet, jamen saa ser man naesten aldrig dyret.
Har senere fundet ud af, efter jeg moedte et par fra belgien som skulle bo samme sted som mig i Pokhara, at de faktisk har lukket en rimelig vild elefant ud, det var engang tam, men maa have blevet behandlet rigtig ...
